Four units based in White Plains, Mount Vernon, Yonkers and Peekskill supervise both misdemeanor and felony cases.

Any offender sentenced to probation who is not assigned to a crime-specific caseload such as sex offenders, DWI offenders or those required to pay restitution are assigned to general supervision. Officers who supervise these offenders have the broadest range of expertise in dealing with offenders who have been convicted of petty theft, violent assaults, robbery, burglary and drug offenses.

Officers in these units enhance community protection by reducing crime, adhering to a balanced approach that utilizes both law enforcement and casework skills that are rooted in evidence-based practice.
