On Oct. 4, 2012 we hosted our first Juvenile Justice Symposium which was a huge success with over 200 professionals representing schools, police, social service agencies, advocates, not for profits and local and state representatives.
As the lead agency for juvenile justice in Westchester County, Probation has consistently reduced residential placements of juveniles through our enhanced investigation and community based supervision model. Our two-fold mission is to prevent youth from furthering their decline into the criminal justice system while ensuring the safety of the child, family and community.
