The Criminal Supervision Bureau of the Westchester County Probation Department supervises over 6000 cases from every community in the county. The bureau is divided into eight units and has officers stationed in White Plains, Mount Vernon, and Yonkers. Over half of the offenders under supervision have been convicted of felony crimes, including assault, weapons possession, drunk driving, burglary, grand larceny, and drug-related offenses. Officers employ a variety of strategies to ensure that probationers meet their responsibilities and do not commit new crimes. Our goal is to protect the community by providing a positive influence on offenders' lives.
