College students interested in learning about work in the criminal justice system can apply to take part in our internship program. The program provides on-the-job training and gives interns a glimpse of the goings-on in the criminal justice system, through first-hand courtroom and case management experience.

Interested candidates must submit an application, including college transcripts, a resume with cover letter and a letter of recommendation. Applicants will also be interviewed and subject to criminal background checks. Please note that internships with the Department of Probation are unpaid; however, a letter can be provided for college credit.

For more information or to request an application, contact Ana Cordero by email at  or by phone at (914) 995-3501.
